These terms cover BuddyBar for Teams. BuddyBar is made by Lucas Deichl. The free BuddyBar apps need no account, and using them without a team doesn't involve these terms.
By starting a team, you agree to these terms. If you start a team for a company, you confirm that you're allowed to agree for it. You must be an adult to run a team.
Team admins publish palettes on buddybar.io. Everyone who joins gets those palettes in BuddyBar on Mac, Windows or Chrome, and they update by themselves. People who join don't need an account.
A new team gets 30 days free, with no card needed. If you don't choose a plan, the team then works as described in "When a Plan Ends".
The prices and limits of each plan are shown before you buy. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
Paid plans are sold through Link, which is Stripe's service for buyers, and Link is the seller on your receipt. Your purchase also falls under Link's terms.
Plans renew automatically, every month or every year, at the price shown, until you cancel. If BuddyBar changes a price, you'll get an email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
You can cancel at any time under Manage billing on your team's dashboard. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and it won't charge you again.
Everyone on the team keeps the colors they have and can still copy them. Palettes can't be changed, updates stop and nobody new can join until the team has a plan again. BuddyBar doesn't delete your palettes because a plan ended.
See the refund policy.
Your palettes and notes stay yours. You give BuddyBar permission to store them and deliver them to the people on your team, and only for that purpose.
Please don't use Teams to break the law, send unwanted invitations, try to get into another team, or overload or attack the service. You're responsible for who you invite, and for keeping your invite link and sign-in email safe.
BuddyBar may suspend a team that breaks these rules, and will tell you why by email unless that would make things worse.
BuddyBar works hard to keep Teams running, but it's provided as it is, without a promise that it will never have problems or interruptions. If the service is down, the colors people already have keep working.
As far as the law allows, BuddyBar isn't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and its total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid for your team in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights that the law says can't be removed.
You can stop using Teams at any time, and you can ask for your team to be deleted by emailing hello@buddybar.io. If BuddyBar ever closes Teams, you'll get at least 60 days' notice and a refund for any paid time left after it closes.
If these terms change in a way that matters, you'll get an email at least 30 days before. Continuing to use Teams after that means you accept the change.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
