• All One Check button - The shield and the wand are merged into one button. Check runs every test at once and, if anything needs attention, offers a fix: text that might be hard to read, or colors that look alike to someone with color blindness. Every fix can be undone, and the full breakdown lives in Details.
• All You can now group your colors - Groups show as lines on BuddyBar. Hover over a line and the group lifts, so you can see at a glance what’s in it. If a group runs past the sixth color, the rest of it peeks open below.
• All Share a palette as a link - Share palette copies a link that holds the whole palette, its groups and its color names in the address itself. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Anyone can open the link, then view the palette or save it to their own BuddyBar!
• All Copy as a Tailwind class - Along with HEX, RGB, HSL and CSS variables, a color can now copy as bg-[#FFA69E], and CSS variables are named after the color, like --coral: #FFA69E.
• All What’s new, when there is something new - After an update BuddyBar shows what changed, once. A fresh install gets a short “This is BuddyBar” card instead.
• Mac An eyedropper on BuddyBar - Pick any color off your screen straight into your palette, without opening the color editor.
• Windows All of 6.3 on Windows - Everything above, plus Cloud Sync settings, palette links that open in the app, and a tray menu with Start with Windows and Check for Updates.

Improved

• All Templates are now Palettes - And they’re made, renamed and deleted in one place: the palette list, on the row of the palette you mean. New palette offers a blank one, a generated scheme, a dark version of the one you’re on, or a file.
• All See how others see it, right on BuddyBar - The eye is a lens now. Pick a kind of color vision and BuddyBar redraws your palette the way that person sees it. Copying still copies the real color.
• All A locked palette is really locked - Locking used to stop new colors and little else. Now a locked palette can’t be renamed, deleted, regrouped or recolored either, and every refusal says which lock to open.
• All Recent colors and a suggested role in the color editor - Your last copied colors sit in the editor, along with the role a color would suit, like Heading, Accent or Background.
• All Files keep your groups - Save as file keeps groups and the palette’s real name, so a file opens exactly as it was saved.
• Chrome Works with the keyboard and screen readers - Panels have names, focus moves into them and back, messages are announced, and every button has a visible focus ring.

Fixed

• Mac Accessibility permission is asked once - BuddyBar used to ask every time it started if you’d said Not Now. It asks once now, and Turn On Keyboard Shortcut in the menu is there for later.
• Mac Hover labels show up - Every button now says what it does when you hover over it. The labels never appeared before.
• Mac The right shortcut in the menu - The menu showed ⇧⌘B for hiding BuddyBar. The shortcut has always been ⌃⇧B, and now it says so.
• Mac BuddyBar can’t get lost - It can no longer be dragged off the edge of the screen, and minimizing never sends it somewhere you can’t find.
• Mac What’s New actually shows - The notes for 6.2 and 6.2.1 only opened if you went looking for them. They now appear once after an update.
• Chrome Files dropped on the page reach the page - Dropping an image onto Figma or Canva with BuddyBar open quietly did nothing. It goes to Figma or Canva now.
• All Opening a palette you already have - It used to add an identical copy. Now BuddyBar switches to the one you have and says so.
